scene description for images before Fresnel Effect section

Hi,

is there a scene description for the image just before the Fresnel effect - The closest I get looks similar, but different enough to make me suspect somethings not right (despite all the tests passing).

I'll also ask ... I had to turn off shadows to get even close. I assumed the light was inline with the camera (ie from above the sphere) and the sphere was always very dark until I turned the shadows off.
